The idea
Deep Cut begins with a broad charcoal coat over black knit. The substantial collar and coarse weave give the clothing weight, while cropped hair and a small silver ear cuff keep the portrait precise.
Visual direction
The standing photograph reveals the coat’s length and loose trousers. A closer turn brings the raised collar against the jaw, shifting attention from the full silhouette to the meeting of cloth and skin.
The study
Hard frontal light separates the figure from the graphite wall. In the final turn, the face stays clear while a slight blur passes through the coat, allowing the shape to change without losing its presence.
Output
Shape + shadow
A close cover, full standing figure, turned portrait and moving frame hold the same coat and graphite studio together.
Studio note
Let the shape carry the frame.
